2019 Gratitude and Growing into 2020 Together
This is a time of year where many of us look back to appreciate all they have accomplished. And as I reflect on 2019, I too am reminded of so many great achievements I’ve had as a business and personally. And while all of these are wonderful things to be proud of, what really comes to mind are the people behind them.
Thank you to the Town of Cornwall - Reflecting back over this year I enjoyed partnering with the helpful staff at the Town of Cornwall to bring the community beginner yoga and two specialized yoga classes: yoga for chronic pain management and trauma-informed yoga.
Thank you to my community and partners- I also had the opportunity to be a keynote speaker twice this year, once for the PEI Road Runner Club speaking about the inspiring running community
and then for Fitness New Brunswick’s Personal Training & Fitness Summit to speak about how fitness professionals make a positive difference in our lives. This fall I presented on body acceptance providing tools and strategies to improve body image at Recharge Atlantic Women’s Retreat.
Thank you for the recognition and media- Early this year I was named one of Canada’s top health and fitness influencers for being a leader creating a path to better health for Canadians. Thank you to the editors of Optimyz magazine. Thank you to the Guardian for featuring this national recognition in
an article outlining more details about this list as well as information about my 2018 Personal Training Specialist award. This summer I was recognized as one of Canada’s top fitness professionals of the year at the Canfitpro fitness conference. With gratitude for this industry recognition while at this conference I also took full advantage of the world-class experts during their lectures and sessions on various fitness and wellness topics to expand my knowledge base. I am thankful to the organizers of this falls Recharge Atlantic Women’s retreat where I presented on the important topic of body acceptance providing tools and strategies to improve body image.
Thank you to my clients - I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to my clients who have worked very hard throughout the year towards their goals and building healthy habits. It’s both an honor and privilege for me to work with you along your fitness and wellness path, thank you for trusting in me to guide you through this process. I’ve enjoyed
celebrating your successes, guiding you through obstacles and inspiring you to realize your full potential.
Thank you for your business and loyalty - To my workshop attendees, yoga class participants and those that have attended one of my special programs or events, thank you for your participation, input and your support. I look forward to offering you more of these services and appreciate your continued business.
I strive to offer my services on these core guidelines:
That movement/exercise can and should be enjoyable and that everyone has the right to fitness
That movement/exercise has powerful healing benefits in addition to strength and cardiovascular health for chronic pain reduction, regulating difficult emotions, and helping those who’ve experienced trauma
That we can change our mindset for the better to help us move forward impacting many aspects of our lives
That sharing information, tools, resources and strategies with clients and peers in the industry helps everyone to learn and grow
That small businesses can make a positive impact in their community and have a potential wider ripple effect
Thank you for joining and supporting me with my mission and outlook. Whether you signed up for a workshop, purchased a private session, registered for a yoga session, read one of my blog posts or
Optimyz articles, referred someone my way, or liked and shared my social media posts, or guided me with a business question I had-you are appreciated and I acknowledge your key role in my continued success.
YOU make For the Love of Fitness PEI and I a team and you help build my future to continue to offer my services. Together we are better, we are stronger, we build and grow forward. Let’s continue to take steps into 2020 that help you to feel your best!
